John Macky to Thomas Macky

Willow Glen
7th May, 1860

Dear Thomas
I hope you will oblige us by sending with John Macky a small quantity of strong drink. Rebecca told me that she would get the wine and if convenient I would like you would lend me a pair of dark grey trousers for myself. We are all well and I hope you and the children are well and I expect you and the Mrs Cochranes will be out on this occasion.

Your affectionate father,
John Macky

PS Be out before three o'clock as the ceremony must be before four.
